A filmmaker deeply attentive to social issues, Afi Maghouti works across film, artistic performance and documentary. Her early short films explored the question of the dual cultural heritage carried into adulthood by young women from Moroccan immigrant backgrounds.

Today, her new project explores the refusal or non-desire for motherhood as a response to a traumatic inheritance. Through a powerful and deeply personal performed reading, she offers an authentic and striking perspective on this experience.
